This beige ceramic Japanese kogo (incense container) has been molded in the shape of a rabbit.
In Japanese tea ceremony, wooden and lacquer kogo are used to hold wood chip incense during the furo (brazier - summer/spring) season while ceramic kogo are used to hold neriko (kneaded incense) during the ro (hearth - autumn/winter) season.
