Japanese Kyusu - 萬古焼 Obi-ami Banko-yaki Teapot with Green Ash Glaze - 350ml

This Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) comes with a new obi-ami filter made of fine stainless steel mesh that wraps around the entire inside of the pot and is decorated with patches of green ash glaze.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
