Japanese Kyusu - Sleek Banko-yaki Ceramic Filter Teapot - 200ml

This sleek Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) features an elevated collar and a sakura (cherry blossom) styled into its handle.

Compared to a steel mesh filter, its ceramic debeso (half-spherical) filter introduces no metallic flavours to the tea.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
